How can we replace "him or her?"

Example: If someone wants to learn, I can teach him or her.

In this sentence, if we don't want to use him or her, which single word can we used instead? I don't want any other change in the sentence. ( e.g. I don't want the sentence as "I can teach if someone wants to learn). I have come across this situation many times and still, trying to find the exact answer. In this example, someone can be anyone, a male or a female.

Is it okay to say this?

If someone wants to learn, I can teach them.
