How can I write clearer sentences?
I am selecting new vocabulary words and use them in my sentences
He abridge the length of his shirt by two inches and he liked how his shirt fit him.
She abridge her musical composition so that she could please her music professor’s request.
Does this make sense and how can I improve my writing?

Hi, 'Abridge' is mainly used for books, articles and other forms of writing. Note also that if you abridge eg a book, you now have both the original book and the abridged version. Is that what she did to her music, below?

'Abridge' is mainly used for books, articles and other forms of writing.
Note also that if you abridge eg a book, you now have both the original book and the abridged version.
