How can I understand relative clauses sentences?

Hi.

I have met a sentence with relative clauses as following.

1.
Trash generated by units should be taken directly to (the trash chutes) and (trash generated by units should be) placed in the trash chutes or (trash generated by units should be)physically brought to the basement trash compacting area.

2. Trash generated by units should be taken directly to and placed in the trash chutes or physically brought to the basement trash compacting area.

How can I understand above relative clauses #2 ?

What is called above reduced sentence as grammatically?
Especially, #1 and #2 is same meaning but redundant parts are removed. So I ask you about how can I get this technic to skill up?

Thanks. Did you mean that it just used of writing not verbal?
If the most English native speaks are used in verbal above reduced sentence #2, then I want to make and study sentence like #2 more, but I don't have any idea. How can I reduce and parse #2 as #1?
