How can I tell someone with "unstable"

Hi
I want to tell someone like this.
"At 1968, my role was unstabled."
I wan to tell as passive sentence. Becasuse my role is changed by someone else not me.

In the office, each workers has each role. But in my case , at 1974, when I worked at TI inc, the company was restructing as that time, and my role has exchanged by boss.

As I said, I was felt as unstable in my role. So I want express as well. But I'm not sure. Does it make sense?
