How can I sign on behave of someone else?

Hello, I am going to sign in a paper on behave of my husband. I searched and I got that I should use p.o.  before my signature. But still I am confused that should I just write p.o. and sign or should I write my husband name too after p.o. and then sign? Can you please help me regarding to my confusion? Thanks
