How can I re-phrase this sentence?

Hello!

How can I re-phrase this sentence as it seems a little bit clumsy?

I will provide them with financial support and I will help to raise, love, and cherish him.

Thank you!

I understand how a village can help to raise a child, but not how they can help to love a child.

This sounds like a separation, them referring to a former spouse, him referring to a son. If this is the context, the sentence is fine. If not, the sentence needs some work. (Comma after 'love' isn't necessary.)

If it's a divorce, then this might work. Since I don't know if "I" is the man or woman, you can use the relevant pronouns in place of "spouse":

I will provide my former spouse and my son with financial support. I will love and cherish my son and help him/her to raise him.
