How can I make the word companies not redundant in this sentence?

How can I make the word companies not redundant in this sentence? Can I write …such as fur and logging companies and animal research laboratories… instead? But if I write so, the conjunction and would be redundant. What do you think?
  • Environmental extremists could destroy properties to inflict economic damage on industries such as fur companies, logging companies, and animal research laboratories, which they perceive as harming the natural environment including plants and animals.

The word "companies" is not redundant. You can't leave the word out in either place it occurs. I think you've got bigger problems.

The word "companies" is not redundant. You can't leave the word out in either place it occurs.

I think you've got bigger problems. By definition, the environment is natural and contains plants and animals. There's your redundancy.

Very nice.

I would use the collective noun "property" instead of its plural. The plural has the connotation of real estate parcels.
