How can I improve the following sentence?
Writing essays could improve mostly my writing ability and it was one of the best experiences I have been ever on.

I think your problem there would be the latter part of your sentence: "it was one of the best experiences I have been ever on."
The tense is not the same as the first part and you can't use "been on" for describing the experience you had. You can try "one of the best experiences I've had."
