It's my sincere belief that to write a good essay, it's more important to have clear ideas than it is to have perfect grammar.

Decide clearly what your topic is. Describe your topic in your first sentence. If you want to say that having pets make children learn to be responsible, say that, not "Most people think kittens are cute." (As your writing advances, you can make your first sentence something that grabs the attention and put the topic sentence later, but for now, start with that.)

Before you ever start to write, decide the points you want to make. Write them down on a separate sheet of paper - in English or in Arabic, for now it doesn't matter. Think of things that support your points. Only then should you try to write it as a paragraph in English. For now, don't worry about perfect grammar, capitalization, or spelling. Just get it down on paper (or the computer screen).

Then summarize what you said. Raise the points again.

THEN go back and work on the spelling, the grammar, the capitalization. Look up in a dictionary any words you're not sure of.
