Dear Prof. ******,
Thank you for giving me an opportunity to be a part of your group. The project is according to my interest and I can't wait to be a part of it. I had checked the eligibility requirements on the university website and glad to inform that I fulfill all the requirements for admission.
I hope you don't mind if I ask for guidance for writing my research proposal.
Thank you for
Sincerely yours.

First, here are a few comments. The first part sounds like you have been admitted to the group. Doesn't this mean your eligibility has already been checked by someone?

  • I think it would be better if you drafted your research proposal, and then asked him to review it for you.

Hello Clive, the professor asked to check my eligibility in his last email. He gave me a project but I still have to get admission to the university.
