How are you ->where is the stress?

1. How are you? -->

2. How are you doing?

3. How's it going on?

I think the stress usually fall on 'you' in #1.

If the stress fall on 'how', what does it intend?(i.e., what's the difference when the stress falls on 'how', 'are' or 'you')

Where does the stress usually fall on #1,2&3?

Hi, CB.

I thought how's it going on is similar to 'how are you doing' and 'how are you'.

Ah.. I think I might have taken it for 'how is it going'.

Hi,

I don't understand #1 clearly.

Could you explain it more please?

How are you? (Unless you were asked first and are then asking in return: Formal - How are you? Informal - How're you?)

This means the stress fall on 'are' when your were asked first?

And what does it mean the stress is on 'you' in 'formal' and 'informal'?
