Hello,

which do you say?

1 How are things with you?
2 How are things going with you?

Would vs PAST simple

1 The police would check them off their list as they captured them.
2 The police woud check them off the list as they were captured.
3 The police checked them off the list as they were captured.
4 The police checked them off the list as they captured them.

How would you say this?

I would probably say the second if I were going to say one of those. However, if I'm talking to a close friend, I just ask, "What's up?"
