I'm not a mechanical engineer, but this is how I would interpret it: For large motors, a phase-wound rotor is used, with the windings (of the router) connected at one end (of the router) to each other and at the other end (of the router) to slip-rings (and on to the rest of the motor). Does that help?

SupercatWhat's 'to each other' in it?It's referring to the windings.
teechr It's referring to the windings.Thank you! That sounds so.
SupercatApart from this 'to each other', there are two ends of the rotor (e.g. the right and left), and is a winding connected to each of the two? (the total of the windings is two.)You'll have to ask a mechanical engineer for that.
Supercatthe windings connected at one end to each otherSlip ring #1 <-- connected to --> winding #1 <--- connected to -----> winding #2 <---- connected to ----> slip ring #2
AlpheccaStars Slip ring #1 winding #1 winding #2 slip ring #2I've got it roughly! Thank you
