How about + verb clause ?

Hi !

I just wondered whether you could say: How about I pour you a glass of whisky?
One of my students is quite adamant about it.

I've always heard and used "how about" with a noun or ing form, eg. how a bout a drink, how about having a drink

Thanks guys !
