karansardana therefore, shouldn't the pronoun be in agreement? i.e. 'when one is in love?'Most people now accept they as a pronoun referring to a singular somebody, person, etc, in preference to such forms as he/she, s/he, he or she. One is not appropriate; it stands for itself, not for person.
