'House that is overdone'

Hi

Sometimes people overdo their houses' exteriors -- I mean, they use extremely brash colors or go for too much of crafting. Could you please provide me with a suitable adjective for a house that lacks simplicity or does not look nice because it is overdone? Also, is the dialogue natural?

A- How do you like the new house at the end of the street?

B - Simply __________________? The owner has no sense of colors.

A- My sentiments exactly.

Thanks,

Tom

I see nothing wrong with 'overdone', as the locals will know what that means (i.e., in what way it is overdone). On the other hand, 'carving' is strange, since Americans do not decorate their walls with bas-reliefs. In fact, I don't think any kind of craft work on interior structures is common, though the furnishings may be ornate.
