Do you think "hot news" is an acceptable combination (meaning the latest news)? I'm afraid this might be interference from my native language.
Thanks.

Why what, Ambitious? Could you be more specific? Do you mean, 'why is the latest news 'hot' ?

'Hot' as in exciting, newly produced, as in fresh bread from the oven.
