Hopelessness turned to despair
Hi,
Can you explain the difference between hopelessness and despair? To me, they are the same.
The familiar feeling of hopelessness engulfed the lonely boy as the guard locked the door and turned away. Hopelessness turned to despair as the flickering light from the torch disappeared down the passageway.
