Sir, the reason behind commenting 'ANY ERRORS' was that I literally forgot to add this in my question so thought of writing it on comment box.

Well I have always wanted to use 'MARRED' in my daily speech. So thought of adding this word in my sentence but you think it's odd. How can we structure it in a way that it doesn't look odd and the meaning of the sentence remains same?

It was the conflict in tone between the first and second half that seemed odd. In particular, the second half is out of place in what seems to be a personal question..

The word 'marred' is fine, and you can us it if you want to. But 'spoiled' is more common.
