Task 2: In the future all cars, buses, and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles would be passengers. Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?
We are all living under the domination of technology. It comes as no surprise that one day, all the vehicles which we are traveling are driverless. While this evolution may bring some benefits, I would argue they are eclipsed by the drawbacks.
On the one hand, driverless transports have positive aspects. When people own a driverless car, they do not have to have a driving license. In fact, many people find it difficult passing the driving test which makes them stressed. For example, my sister Ariana, said that the driving test had wasted her too much time and money, though she had wanted to drive a car by herself. Thus, the merit of driverless vehicles prevails over the demerit.
On the other hand, driverless transports cause a lot of problems for the users. First, people will become dependent on this invention. If everyone is more and more rely on the convenience of this type of vehicles, it will create a bad habit in their life. Second, without the control of experienced drivers, the driverless transport can lead to inevitable accidents, especially when a part of the machine has trouble and the users do not know. For instance, according to the "Driverless transport survey" in 2012 of Korea, around 62% of people said that they had had fear of facing unforeseeable cases caused by this type of vehicles. Therefore, the negative aspect eclipse the positive aspect of this topic.
To conclude, it seems to me that the plus point is overshadowed by the minus point as the driverless transports create people bad habit and also cause potential dangers.
