Grammar

Hope vs hope that

1)I hope that i shall get a first class

a)i feel that
B)i hope
c)i am doing
d)no improvement

Ans:-b

My question is :- Are " I hope" and "I hope that" both correct?
Is there any example if there is any difference in usage?
Please advise.

Thank you

The use of 'shall' in the sentence reveals that the grammar is many years in the past. I don't understand the exercise.

I would be very interested by an answer! So "I hope" vs "I hope that"?

I think both are correct and allowed to use, however I guess there is a delicate point here when using ... hope ... Or ... hope that...!

Notice the example below:

"We hope THAT you enjoy using this in your classes and THAT it helps your ...."

"We hope you enjoy using this in your classes and it helps your ...."

Using the word "that" in the first sentence seems more perf
