Hope all is well

As a general rule we know that 'well' is an adverb, while 'good' is an adjective. We've all heard people say, "Hope all is well with you." I am tempted to contend that you could also use 'good' in place of 'well' in that phrase because it would be an adjective modifying 'all.' Or is well functioning as an adverb there modifying 'is'? Thoughts? Thank you.
