I use "hop IN the shower" a lot more than hop OUT.

Let me just hop in the shower means "I'll take my shower and get cleaned up quickly, and then we can... go/eat/paint the kitchen - do whatever it is that we're going to do."

But I guess "hop out" means "finish your shower up quickly."

Colloquially when we have had a shower and get out of it. It's the sort of phrase you would use with a child:

Come on, hop out of the shower now so I can dry you.
