How would you formulate this sentence?
When you have water in your ears, to get it out, hop on on leg, preferably the same leg of the ear.

Thanks I would formulate the thought this way: If you have accidentally gotten water in your ear, you may be able to get the water out by tilting your affected ear toward your shoulder and hop on one leg on the same side repeatedly. There is a problem in practicality with the red.

If you don't tilt your ear, not only won't it work, it may get the water deeper into the ear canal.
