The above is an email I've received.

I don't trust French when they write English.

Is it fine to write the verb 'honor' in the above?

Usually it is a transitive verb and it is 'honor for' something.

Soldiers are honored for fiighting terrorism/saving the country etc.

Would you write the words 'participating in the choice process'?

The words 'choice process' creeks in my ears.

You can participate in a competition/program/event/conference/raffle.

Thanks Mister Micawber for taking time to reply me.

It should be 'creaks' not 'creeks'. I am stupid to write 'creek' here.

The dictionaries say the verb honor is a transitive one. I just looked at it in an online dictionary.

It further adds the following:

honour somebody with something

honour somebody for something.

But maybe the writer wasn't French anyway!

RotterWe would be honored
This is fine. True, honor is transitive; that's why it can be used in the passive voice, as is done here.

Having your input would honor us. > We would be ho
