Homophones and sound the vowels make in words

  • /a/ with - over the a (rain, rein, reign, vain, vane, vein, straight, strait, great, grate)

  • /o/ with ^ over the o

  • /u/ with ^ over the u

  • /o/ with - over the o (roll, role)

  • /oo/ with -- over the oo (crews, cruise)
