Hi. I need a homonym for the word 'Du Bois" (pronounced like rejoice). But the word should be a proper name like a city name or worldwide known star name, etc., not a generic noun.Any idea?

There are a few city named either Dubois or Du Bois in the USA. As far as people in that list are concerned, I've never heard of any of them.

In the US there are many French and Spanish names which have an anglicized option. This works for people, streets, and towns/cities. I've known a lot of people with the French name that sounds like "Tatro." There are at least four spellings. But I had a dear friend who spelled it "Tetreault," and he pronounced it as you would in English (all the consonants), although he was very French.
We had a Jr. High teacher named Duboise. Half the class used the French pronounciation and half used English. (These were all third and fourth generation kids who spoke perfect English.)

A teaching colleague named "Boisevert" insisted on the anglicized version, pronouncing the "s" and the "t," but a family in the neighboring town pronounced it "Bow-vair."
