Homework

On a homework assignment, we weren't certain on the following:

1. Mrs. Mays teaches history and enjoys playing with her grandchildren.

Is/are the verb(s) "teaches" AND "enjoys playing"?

2. Everyone complained that the grammar quiz was difficult.

Is/are the verb(s) "complained" AND "was"?

3. Lakenna and Alice Lee love goinig to the mall.

Is the verb "love" or "love going"?

I take it that you were supposed to find the verbs. I don't know if you are supposed to say whether you found finite or non-finite verb forms, but two of them are non-finite. Leave those out of the list if you were supposed to find only the finite verb forms.

1. teaches, enjoys, playing (three verbs) (playing is a non-finite verb form.)

2. complained, was
