Hi.
The central piece was Maria's outfit, described by the auctioneers as "a heavy brown homespun Austrian-style dress with a wheat-coloured homespun blouse."
Could you please suggest an alternative for the underlined part? I thought of domestic as an alternative.
What about home-made?

If they they don't mean it quite so literally, you could say "simple" or "sturdy", or you might change homespun Austrian-style to "Austrian country-style".
