"home" with a possessive

* I was at my home.
* He was at his home.

"home" with a possessive(my.his.etc) sounds a little strange, awkward ?
or sounds quite natural?

or sounds quite natural? To ask a question, don't just make a statement and put a question mark at the end. Do it like this: ' Does "home" with a possessive sound a little strange or awkward?

I don't find it unnatural. I would say it just feels a bit redundant since you can just say "at home".

This principle does not apply generally to the word "home", but just to the phrase "at home". For example, you would say "He lost his home". "He lost home" is not right.

Rover_KEis essential if you need to emphasise that you are not at somebody else's home.
For me, when someone is "at home", it always means their own home, even without a possessive.
