a)Which one is correct?


b)What is function of "home" in (1)? Is it adverb?

"at home" is adverb of place.


But "at" is preposition and take noun or pronoun as object so "home" as noun.


How come "at home" is adverb.

"at home" is adverbial in(2) and "home" adverb in (1).


am I right?
