Holographic

Hi

There's a song: I sing the body holographic.

I understand that by "sing" the author means "exalt" or "praise" however "body holographic" is a strange construction for me. Maybe he's going to exalt the fact that the body is like a hologram.

I found this on the Internet: An interview with Dr. Ralph Alan Dale about the uses of acupuncture in healing, based on the model of the body as holographic. (http://www.shareintl.org/archives/health-healing/hh_chhologram.html)

Top answer

There's a famous poem called "I Sing the Body Electric," which is what "I sing the body holographic" obliquely refers to. Moreover, a hologram is produced by electrical devices, so that further fits with the metaphor.
