Holidays - time expressions

Hi,can you please check these expressions I am confused about:Can I say on Easter/Christmas/New Year as well as at Easter/at Christmas ( meaning by the latter the period around these festival)?For this reason this should not apply to at New Year,  as it is only one day and on New Year should be the correct option...is that right?Thanks

Note this.
There is a holiday period called Christmas. It includes some days with special names, eg Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

There is a holiday period called Easter. It includes some days with special names, eg Good Friday, Easter Monday.

But there is no holiday period called New Year. Instead, there are just days called New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Say at a holiday period, eg at Christmas, at Easter.
Say on a special day, eg on Christmas Day, on Easter Monday.
