Holiday Sentiment

I need to know if the word 'sounds' is used correctly in the following sentiment. I am curious if it should be singular instead of plural, although the word family indicates more than one.

"We hope your holidays are filled with lovely memories and the sweet sounds of family laughter."

'Family' is irrelevant. You have a choice of singular or plural, depending on whether you think laughter (uncountable) is monotone or various.
