Holiday as verb

Hi

Is the use of holiday as verb natural English? Are these sentences OK?

Where do you want to holiday this summer?

We holidayed in the hottest possible place on earth last summer.

Thanks,

Tom

They are both correct and grammatical, but not commonly used in casual conversation in my experience as a BE speaker. I don't suppose AE speakers use 'holiday' as a verb at all, but stand to be corrected.
