Hole out, judge to a nicety

Kemp to Ganguly, out Caught by Morkel!! Ganguly has played a Test innings and holed out finally, end of a torturous innings! cleared the leg, hoicked it, did not time it as well as he would have liked and Morkel judges it to a nicety and snaffles it, the old Ganguly would have hit it for a six, but the present Ganguly has found the man, so sad for KKR!Ganguly c Morkel b Kemp 11(20) [4s-1]

Could you please explain to me the emboldened parts?

I can sense "hole out" means "got out" but I would like to know it's exact meaning. Similarly, I know "nicety" in general means "small difference" but I can't understand it here.
