I realised later that "being restrained" is unfortunately ambiguous. It could mean that someone else is restraining her, or that she herself is acting in a restrained way. I meant the latter.

NL888isn't exactly known for holding back. Holding back what?= is known for speaking her mind. (holding back her words)
= is not known for keeping the details of her life secret (or private). (holding back information about herself)
She is open, forthright, and frank.
