holding herself back, i.e. being restrained

I realised later that "being restrained" is unfortunately ambiguous. It could mean that someone else is restraining her, or that she herself is acting in a restrained way. I meant the latter.

= is not known for keeping the details of her life secret (or private). (holding back information about herself)
