Holding

Hello,
is the word holding OK here?

Basic anti-gravity thromboprophylactic exercises are made 2-4 hours after the surgery in the intensive care unit, and are individually done by the patient themselves three times per day for duration of 30 minutes. Three different types of exercises are carried out in sets (with the so-called holding). The basic purpose of the so-called holding in the anti-gravity posture in duration for at least 10 seconds is the strengthening or activation of muscles, which is a type of a resistance exercise, and is a substitute for a desirable weight exercise. The basic purpose of exercising in repeated sets is achieving sufficient muscle activity (muscle alertness) through which the muscle metabolism activates itself in such a measure that during the next couple of hours, or the so-called regeneration period, it stays active with a sufficient metabolic level (and blood flow).
