HOLD OUT and GRIP (3 sentences need help)

Could you please help me with this?

1 Coffee will make you hold out the night.
2 You can't handle/use/function a touchscreen phone with gloves on as your fingers don't grip, the screen doesn't detect a finger.

Both are good. Personally, I use "to last a week". I don't often use the expression "hold out".
