Hi all, I am first time here... great website!<br/><br/>Anyway, my question is, <br/><br/>Is this right expression? - "Hold on a second, please" <br/><br/>When I am not ready to order in restaurants or stores and the servers are waiting my order, can I use this? <br/><br/>I am hesitating to use this words because, I feel this words are a little rude becuase "hold on" sounds like "do not move !!" <img class='emoticon' style='Width:19px;Height:19px;' data-delaysrc='https://uat-englishforward-forums-backend.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Emoticons/1.gif' src='https://uat-englishforward-forums-backend.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/Emoticons/1.gif' alt='Emotion: smile'/><br/><br/>"Wait a minute/second" would be better ?
