Hold

But now I am considered the Patriarch of the family and my job to hold the family together.

But now I am considered the Patriarch of the family and my job is to hold the family together.

Are both sentences grammatical?

No. Only the second is grammatical. In the first one it seems that 'to hold the family together' is a further description of 'my job', and then the sentence seems incomplete, as if it should end like this: ...
