Hoe Culture

Hi

Here is a link of a picture. Its title is Hoe Culture. I can understand the whole meaning of it that it maybe mean a kind of life depended on farm and farming. Is there any synonym for this title to understand better?

I think it is just a unique title that the photographer gave her photograph. It is not a common term, but it does mean what you think – agricultural life. An 'agricultural existence' or an 'agrarian culture' are the usual terms.

Dear Nesa,

Have you read the explanation of the photo and the photographer that is to the right of the photo? Do you understand its meaning? If not, let me know and I'll help you further.

The paragraph explains a great deal about the "art" of the photo and the title (indirectly, of course).

Dear John

Yes I understand the meaning of the text, although it's not the main caption of the photo which is published in Phaidon. Anyway your interpretation is really nice and it will help me.
