hobby

Hello

Would you help me how to use the word 'hobby'?
Do you use 'hobby' when you refer to favorite sport or something?
I heard that sports are not hobbies, but I found the sentence like 'My hobbies are listening to music and playing soccer' I'd like to know what kind of things are hobbies.
How about going to the museum?
Would you help me with this?

Thank you.
