Hmmm... is this correct and understandable sentence?

Jenny knew about actual prison sentence of 120 hours, John told her that by himself. John was drunken and hit Jim, he admits his guilt.

Is this correct? or do I need to re-phrase it?

Top answer

Jenny knew about the actual prison sentence of 120 hours, (comma splice) John told her that by himself. John was drunk and hit Jim, (comma splice) he admits his guilt. A comma splice is an error where you put a comma, not a semicolon or a full stop, between two main clauses.
