Would appreciate if someone could tell me the meaning of the belows is exactly the same.

a./ hit the weight
b./ lose weight

Also, would like to know if "the" could be omitted in the sentence A as is written as "hit weight"

Hit (the) weight doesn’t make sense. However, one can hit (go to) the weight room or hit (reach) a weight-loss plateau.

They don't mean exactly the same. "Hit the weight" means to reach a target weight. Most of the time this will mean a weight loss either for a medical reason or to enter a desired weight class in sports like boxing or wrestling. However it can also be used for weight gain for a medical reason, sporting reason or the normal growth of a child.
