Hello everyone,
A. Could you please tell me if "his secret plan" belonges to "Smollett" or "Silver" in the following sentence?
Smollett decided that Silver and most of the crew should go ashore because Sliver would tell the men to work properly to hide his secret plan.
2. Can I use "refer to" in my question instead of "belong to"? Are both okay?
Regards,
JA
Most would understand it as Smollett's.
