Hinder from

Hi.
What does it mean
to hinder from motion or action?

Does it mean not to allow the object to move even a bit?Or just to interfere with the motion or action?

Thanks in advance

Or just to interfere with the motion or action? I would say it means interfere or limit here, but it does have both meanings, so you will have to decide which applies to the chess game: 1. to cause delay, interruption, or difficulty in; hamper; impede: The storm hindered our progress.

  • Or just to interfere with the motion or action?

  • 2.
  • to prevent from doing, acting, or happening; stop: to hinder a man from committing a crime .
