Himself or myself

Hello,

Here's a test from one my of colleagues.

- I'll go and see the president ......... if I have to.

1) myself

2) himself


To me, either is correct, depending on what the writer means. The first person reflexive means that I and only I should see the president, whereas the third person means I want to see him and nobody else.


See below, please:


Example 1: Someone else already went to see the president and didn’t get what you want —-> I’ll go see him myself!

Example 2: You asked three different company vice presidents and they all blew you off —-> I’ll go see the president himself!


Correct me if I am wrong, please.
