Hilly streambeds

Some species of honeybush thrive in the mountains, but others are harvested on wet southern slopes, marshy areas, and in hilly streambeds.

--- Does "hilly streambeds" mean "steep streambeds"? Or maybe streambeds in the mountains?

It is poorly phrased; since the plant grows in the South African fynbos, it can hardly be aquatic, since that habitat is dry much of the year. I suppose that it grows in dry streambeds in the coastal mountains, which probably experience water as run off briefly during the winter.

Hi

No, I don't think the streambeds need to be steep. They could meander down a bumpy way and branch out into quite a wide area
