Computer Games – a Complete Waste of Time and Money
Over the last years, computer games have become increasingly popular and children, teenagers and even adults spend hours playing a wide variety of such games. People love the action and adrenaline they get from playing them. These facts have led many to question whether computer gaming has a positive or negative influence on their life. I believe the disadvantages of playing video games outweigh the advantages.
Personally, I believe computer games are a complete waste of time. Every time you turn on your console you should be asking yourself if there is something much better you can be doing with your time like reading or playing a sport other than just staring at your PC for the next 2 or 3 hours. Although it is said that computer games may trigger critical thinking in children, the bad news is that these games are tremendously addictive which will of course affect your social and academic life.
Second of all, computer games are terribly harmful for your health and pocket. After hours of video gaming you will probably start feeling backaches and also neck aches thanks to the uncomfortable position when playing the games. Among other factors, your eyesight may also be affected due to the constant exposure to them.
In conclusion, I believe that video games are not the best pastimes to pursue. There are many other activities you can do like getting interest in a foreign language or learning a new sport. Not only will these activities give you enjoyment but you could also get to know other ways of thinking and relating to people.
